Rammed Earth Process
Forming - the process that we use to put formwork into place - is a large part of the Rammed Earth creation process. We blend gravels and sand together with cement, in measured quantities. To this we add water, as well as a water proofer.
The result is then placed in the formwork and compacted by a pneumatic rammer. The majority of the work from this point is then the assembly of the formwork. The completion of the walls from an average-sized house usually takes approximately four weeks.
